Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest North Carolina (SHFB) celebrated the grand opening of its Greensboro Distribution and Nutrition Education Center in April 2021. The Center is located in Renaissance Plaza in Northeast Greensboro and serves as a hub for food distribution to Second Harvest partner agencies, SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) outreach, and nutrition education initiatives. SHFB raised over $1.25 million in less than a year from the Greensboro community to make this work possible. Weaver Foundation contributed $250,000 to the SHFB Greensboro Campaign.
